Yes, if you signed in with Apple or Google. Your saved Moments sync to your account and will be available when you sign in on a new device.

Your reflections are private by design. They're encrypted on your device before anything reaches our servers. The encryption key is stored in your iCloud Keychain.

Yes. When you release a reflection the text is permanently deleted from our servers. We don't archive, back up, or store it anywhere. We designed it this way on purpose. Letting go only means something if it's real.

Yes. You can write and reflect without an internet connection. Your entries sync to your account the next time you're online.

The limit is intentional. Seven has deep roots in contemplative tradition as the bojjhaṅga, the seven factors of awakening. More than that and holding becomes collecting. The constraint asks you to stay honest about what still matters.

You can change the default timer by cycling through 90 seconds, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, and 30 minutes in Settings under Reflection Timer. The default is 90 seconds, based on Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor's research on the emotion lifespan: the time it takes for emotion-triggered chemicals to clear the body.
